About the role:
As our learning and development lead, you’ll empower our carers and office team to feel confident, competent, and fully supported in their roles by delivering outstanding training, coaching, and practical guidance. Reporting directly to the Head of People and Marketing, you’ll oversee end-to-end staff training, maintain our central training matrix, coordinate refresher courses, and travel to clients' homes to conduct carer competency assessments and offer hands-on guidance.
To be successful in this role you will need:
A minimum of 2 years’ experience delivering health and social care training
Currently hold a Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET / PTLLS) or equivalent
Hold in-date Train the Trainer certifications in Moving & Handling, Medication Management, and Basic Life Support
Strong understanding of high-quality care standards, sector guidelines, and CQC regulatory frameworks
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and experienced in navigating E-Learning platforms / Learning Management Systems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an articulate and approachable manner
A self-starter capable of managing priorities, solving operational challenges, and adapting to changing business needs
Honest, ethical, and committed to offering compassionate pastoral support to staff
Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to client homes
Note on Working Hours: This position is structured primarily as a part-time role. However, for the right candidate seeking a full-time position, we are open to expanding the scope of the role to include additional business support and operational responsibilities.

Together, we will guide and support you to develop your skills and confidence in providing high-quality care for clients, through the Induction and refreshers program, which consists of our CPD accredited online training paired with our experience lead classroom learning.
